We manufacture our steel products for data centers with a circular steelmaking process utilizing electric arc furnace (EAF) technology. This process creates high-quality, low-embodied carbon steel with on average less than one-third the carbon emissions compared to steel products made from the predominant global steelmaking process, blast furnace-basic oxygen furnace (BF-BOF).

Our circular approach with steelmaking also extends to our recycling services. Nucor Data Systems can offer end-of-life recycling services for your racks and cabinets — manufacture and install the steel products, recycle racks and cabinets when they need to be replaced, and start the process again.
