Nucor manufactures EMT, IMC, GRC and rigid aluminum conduit in the full range of trade sizes. We are the only manufacturer to offer features on our EMT designed to reduce installation costs and avoid jobsite delays, including Inch-Mark^®, Guide-Line^®, Silverslick^® and diamond-knurled I.D. 

Our rigid aluminum conduit is made from T-1 tempered 6063 aluminum alloy, meeting UL6A and ANSI C80.5 standards. Available in trade sizes from ½ to 6 inches, it provides a non-magnetic and non-sparking lightweight, corrosion-resistant raceway

Nucor offers electrical metallic tubing (EMT), color EMT and intermediate metal conduit (IMC) in common trade sizes of 1/2 in, 3/4 in, 1 in, 1-1/4 in, 1-1/2 in, 2 in, 2-1/2 in, 3 in, 3-1/2 in and 4 in. 
For Galvite ERMC-S (GRC or RIG) and rigid aluminum conduit (RAC), Nucor offers common conduit trade sizes of 1/2 in, 3/4 in, 1 in, 1-1/4 in, 1-1/2 in, 2 in, 2-1/2 in, 3 in, 3-1/2 in, 4 in, 5 in and 6 in.

Electrunite Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT) is designed with the user in mind as the easiest electrical conduit to bend currently available in the marketplace.  

• Nucor offers proprietary features on small-diameter EMT, such as Inch-Mark and Guide-line, which help reduce bending and measurement errors during installation.  
• Nucor Electrunite EMT is the only domestic electrogalvanized EMT available on the market today. Electrogalvanizing provides uniform galvanized protection to the entire tube, including the ends of the pipe, which are commonly subject to exposure damage. Together, these features ensure smooth bends, consistent welds and easy installs on the job site, minimizing time and money lost to replacing faulty products. 
• Our steel conduit can be 100 percent recycled at the end of its useful life. Nucor products are manufactured using EAF technology in the U.S. from domestically sourced scrap metal and raw materials.

Silverslick is a protective, slick inside coating designed to reduce friction when pulling or pushing electrical wires through the EMT. The Silverslick finish remains hard and smooth in various climate conditions, protecting your conduit and your investment. 

Nucor’s proprietary Inch-Mark and Guide-Line improve accuracy and time efficiency, assisting the installer in bending the conduit through a single plane and measuring without needing a ruler, reducing installation time and cost from mistakes. 

Yes, Nucor is the only conduit manufacturer in the United States to electrogalvanize EMT and IMC, resulting in protective zinc coatings that do not flake or chip when subjected to extreme stress. Electrogalvanizing also provides uniform galvanized protection to the entire tube, even the ends of the pipe commonly subject to exposure damage. Color EMT is the safest and most effective way to quickly identify and trace designated wiring systems in many industrial and commercial applications. Color conduit is rapidly becoming a normal part of building planning and construction. Commonly used colored conduit applications are: Red – fire systems, Blue – data communications, Green – health care purposes, Yellow – high voltage, Purple – security, Orange – fiber optic and Black / White – architecture. Nucor is the only domestic manufacturer to produce powder-coated EMT, which features multiple cosmetic and durability benefits, including superior appearance, UV resistance and wear characteristics. 

Nucor’s EMT steel conduit is manufactured in the USA from high-quality, flat-rolled EAF steel that is uniquely formulated for its high malleability. After forming and welding, the tubes receive a satin-smooth, corrosion-resistant zinc coating courtesy of Nucor’s exclusive electrogalvanizing process. A final passivation layer is added to the product to strengthen its corrosion-resistance properties.

Electrical conductors shall be enclosed in Electrunite^® EMT in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). Electrical metallic tubing shall be mild steel, electrically welded, galvanized and produced to the following specifications:

Nucor’s Galvite is manufactured from high-quality, flat-rolled steel utilizing an electric resistance welding (ERW) process followed by hot-dip galvanizing. The resulting product has strong, smooth welds and a tightly-adhering, uniform zinc coating. 

• High Strength: Galvite is durable, strong and suitable for the harshest environmental conditions, providing complete mechanical and physical protection to any electrical wiring project. The steel tube is welded to ensure it meets or even exceeds the most stringent quality standards. The inside surface of the pipe is obstruction-free and smooth, making wire pulling and pushing easy.  
• Reduced lifecycle cost: Nucor’s Galvite is impact-resistant and chemically compatible with concrete.
